Mequon Speech and Learning Connection

At Mequon Speech and Learning Connection, also known as Milwaukee Myo, we believe that the foundations of health—breathing, eating, and speaking—should never be a struggle. Located in Mequon and serving families throughout Milwaukee’s North Shore, our clinic is led by Kim Harrison and Jennie Herklotz, who bring nearly 50 years of combined experience to every patient they see. We’ve built our practice to be a warm, supportive resource where we look beyond surface-level symptoms to find the true root cause of a child’s challenges, ensuring a path toward lasting functional success.

Our specialized expertise lies in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT), a unique field that retrains the muscles of the mouth and face to support healthy development. We are the area’s trusted authority for correcting “tongue thrusts” that push teeth out of alignment, helping children break persistent thumbsucking habits, and transitioning mouth-breathers into healthy nasal breathers for better sleep and focus. By addressing these muscle-based issues early, we help protect your child’s dental health and craniofacial growth, often saving families from years of complex orthodontic relapses or speech difficulties.

Beyond our work in myology, we provide a comprehensive range of Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Feeding Therapy services designed to support the whole person. From helping newborns overcome nursing struggles to helping older children master social communication and executive functioning, our team uses a holistic medical model that often incorporates gentle bodywork and reflex integration. We pride ourselves on collaborating closely with your family’s pediatricians and orthodontists to provide a seamless, compassionate experience that helps your child breathe easier, speak clearer, and smile with confidence.
