First, be very careful during the pricing stage with management. Rental prices can change very quickly, and not in your favor! And once you sign, there is nothing you can do. We moved in mid-September 2025, and within just two weeks, prices for similar units dropped by 20%, which comes out to about $6,000 over the course of a year for us! When we raised concerns and asked if anything could be done so we wouldn’t feel misled, management was unresponsive for a long time and ultimately said that since the lease was signed, nothing would be changed. I also want to point out that during initial negotiations we were promised one month free on a one-year lease, but this incentive disappeared by the time of signing, even though it had been clearly communicated by their manager. Earlier, I had actually appreciated their stated policy that prices were “transparent for everyone” and that no one received special discounts. It sounded fair and respectable and gave the impression that this would be a win-win arrangement for both sides. However, not only was the promised free month removed, but prices dropped significantly right after we signed. In the end, it did not feel like a win-win situation at all. If the management were truly consistent, they would have honored at least one of those commitments. As a result, I am now paying almost the same for a studio as others are paying for one-bedroom units at Penthouse level apartments! I’ve accepted it, but it still leaves a bad taste. That’s why whenever my friends or colleagues ask about living in this building during their visits, I consistently advise them to look elsewhere, and I will continue to do so in the future. In my opinion, good businesses are built on a long-term relationships, not on unfulfilled promises or claims of “transparent pricing” that don’t hold up in practice. If you are still considering this complex, I strongly recommend signing the shortest lease possible, as the lease termination terms are also not tenant-friendly. Another major downside of this complex is the poor soundproofing. You can hear neighbors easily and that's why I have to sleep with headphones all the time. You can also clearly smell when neighbors are cooking, including strong frying odors that spread into other units. To sum up I would give you the same advice I give my friends - there are better options out there with a more honest approach to residents.
